Considerations for Church Gatherings during Flu Season

caring for the immunocompromised and vulnerable among us

A Call for Mutual Care

People with disabilities and compromised immune systems suffer great risk of complication due to contracting viruses like Covid-19 or the flu. Considerations from the 2020-2022 coronavirus pandemic can be applied to other viruses, such as the influenza virus, to provide greater safety to those among us who are immunocompromised and disabled. Considerations for Church Gatherings invites congregations to examine the ways that those with disabilities and compromised immune systems are excluded from faith communities and take action to provide safe spaces during peak Covid-19 and flu rates.
