Protecting Those with Special Needs Through Estate Planning

Families who have loved ones with disabilities have extra concerns when estate planning. On Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 8 pm EST, Anabaptist Disabilities Network will host a webinar covering these unique aspects of estate planning: special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, and changes under the SECURE Act and SECURE Act 2.0 that affect special needs planning with retirement accounts.

About the Presenters:

Jennifer Lile, Esq., CELA, is an attorney who specializes in estate planning, elder law, and trust and probate law, with a concentration on serving families with loved ones who have special needs. Jennifer is a frequent speaker to community groups and professional organizations on these topics. Among other affiliations, Jennifer serves on the board of directors for Everence Trust Company and is an active member with the Special Needs Alliance.

Lyle Miller serves on the ADN board of directors and as a Stewardship Consultant for Everence, where he supports congregations in their financial stewardship ministry, nonprofits in their development activities, and individuals in their desire to be generous. Prior to joining Everence, he served in pastoral ministry for eight years and more than 20 years as a college administrator. He lives in Goshen, Indiana, and attends Waterford Mennonite Church with his wife, Bonnie, a retired special education teacher. They have two adult children.
