Accessibility Study Guide

a guide to understanding the intersection of faith and disability advocacy

An Educational Resource

For Sunday School classes, Bible Studies, or small groups looking for a short introduction to disabilities in the congregation, this study guide answers the general question: “Why should we spend time and attention on disabilities and accessibility?” Written as a guide for understanding the importance of the MC USA Accessibility Resolution in 2022, this curriculum offers first-person accounts of disabled churchgoers, a gentle call to examine the privileges that able-bodied and able-minded people experience, and practical steps for extending welcome to people with disabilities that people of all denominations and affiliations find valuable.
