Accessible Digital Communications

How can we craft digital communications to provide access for individuals who are blind, low vision, or Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HOH)? We’ll cover how to analyze the different access needs of people who are blind or D/HOH; how to prepare an accessible digital document; and how to determine the necessary resources for providing digital access.

About the Presenter:

Katie Smith lives in Blacksburg, Virginia, and works as an Access Advisor in the Services for Students with Disabilities office at Virginia Tech. Katie identifies as a disabled person and has Cerebral Palsy. Katie is a member of the Church of the Brethren and serves as a field associate for ADN.
