Church of the Brethren Annual Conference

Connect with ADN

The 2024 Church of the Brethren Annual Conference is July 3-7 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Anabaptist Disabilities Network is excited to be providing accessibility services, including mobility scooters, screen-reader translations of presentations, and more, to attendees.

Attend the equipping session, Dementia and Congregational Care, by field associate Heddie Sumner, on July 6 at 12:30 pm. In this session, pastors, lay ministers, and others will learn the importance of maintaining one’s faith and spirituality while walking the path of dementia – as both a person with dementia and a caregiver. Attendees of this session will develop a better understanding of various dementias, learn tips for communication with persons with dementia, and learn how to better connect with congregational members in all stages of dementia.

Lastly, stop by our exhibit table to talk with Executive Director Jeanne Davies, board member Laura Stone, and other friends of ADN. Pick up new resources for your congregation or talk with Jeanne about the ways your congregation is a place of belonging for people with disabilities. Those who visit will have a chance to win a basket of sensory tools!
